So this week I got to fulfil a lifetime ambition of seeing my favourite band live, the wonderful Pearl Jam. Suffice to say the gig was amazing, but before the gig I had to get something to wear and what better for a hot night in July, going to a gig filled with thousands of people, than a new graphic tank. This one was an absolute bargain at just £6 from Primark. I don’t shop there often, but I always seem to stumble upon a wee gem now and again, and who can argue with the pice! Continue reading
The other night I had to get a new dressing gown and slippers for my 6 year old. Being that they grow out of things so quickly, I tend not to spend a fortune on such items and instead pick them up at Tesco or Asda.
While I was in Tesco getting said items for said child, (which btw were a bargain, £12 for dressing gown and slippers), I had a quick browse in the sale rail for ladies wear and lo and behold found a beaut of a top for work for just £4!!
I’m so pleased with this, teamed here with Top Shop Skinny jeans and Primark shoes (£8). I even kept it on to go to the cinema that night and threw my Miss Selfridge jacket and Primark scarf on with it.
So good is this wee steal of a top, a work mate commented, ‘oh love the Zara top.’ Emmmm thanks…. 😉
Style, costs, nothing. Well maybe £4.
I’m finding I’m getting colder by the day at work just now, so today’s ensemble of my bargain ASOS dress, £12 in the sale and ASOS necklace £6, had to be teamed with one of my favourite scarves, this £3 beauty from Primark.
I was still cold but at least I was colourful!
Shoes are Kurt Geiger sale £40.
Yesterday I had a very rare day out with some dear girlfriends who I don’t see nearly enough of! As usual work, kids and life gets in the way, but yesterday was our day; a whole day off from everything other than chat, laughs and of course some liquid refreshments!
We met at the gorgeous Blythswood Hotel in Glasgow and went on to a fabulous lunch at Jamie’s Italian. After there were cocktails at The Corinthian and One Up. So my outfit for the days festivities was smart casual, day to night wear that I felt comfortable and just dressed up enough in.
Skinny jeans, Top Shop, boots, Kate Moss for Top Shop, blazer, Top Shop and new blouse, a steal at £10 from Primark!
I’m not huge on colour, but every now and again, a print catches my eye and I have to have it. This gorgeous blouse jumped off the rails at me in Primark the other night and, reduced to just £5 I snapped it up!
I love the kimono style top, I have a few like this. It feels feminine and pretty and so easy to throw on with a pair of skinny jeans, these from Top Shop, for work. It would be great with a vest or cami underneath in the summer, but today I wore a long sleeve white basic from H&M to keep warm!
I’m also wearing one of my favourite accessories just now, this turquoise arrow necklace from Top Shop….it was a steal at just £2.50.
Like I say, style costs nothing 😉
I had a lovely few days in York this Summer and my trusty skinny jeans and converse got me through many hours of walking round this beautiful city. Teamed here with white T from H&M, Primark Print Scarf and my beloved Kurt Geiger bag which is only allowed out in the nice weather!
