Bling bling

I’ve been quiet for a few weeks as my life has been turned upside down by the appearance of this little beauty….

My other half and I have been talking marriage for a while and him being the wonderful man that he is, insisted that I got to choose my engagement ring when the time was right; well that time came a couple of weeks ago and we ventured into the treasure trove that is The Argyll Arcade in Glasgow, to find the perfect ring.

I’d been browsing rings for a while and had a good idea of what I wanted, or more specifically what I didn’t want. I didn’t want a diamond solitaire, I didn’t want a coloured stone and I didn’t want any unusual cuts or shapes or anything too ‘of the moment.’ I could see it in my head; a halo ring, something round and something slightly deco and definitely timeless.

This beautiful ring was almost exactly what I was looking for, but I hadn’t considered diamonds on the band or the split band, but when I tired it on it was love at first sight. I dutifully tried on a number of styles to satisfy my fiancé and jeweller that I was sure on my choice, but I knew it, this was the one.

So ladies, when you find yourself looking for that perfect ring, it’s good to have a clear idea of what you want, just don’t be afraid to try some variations on your style, as it may just be your perfect fit.

Next, the dress! I know what I want and I can see it in my head but….
